It should be related with not clearing your saves and profiles data folders from My Documents and Windows, registry ones at windows usually fixed by CCleaner(when there's a need of it). So, try using CCleaner(freeware on the internet) and manually eliminate the "My Games" or the "Freelancer" folder inside My Games(if you have other games there), with no need to reinstall the mod. I'm not sure if you seen the latest version's maps, which are increased compared to the normal Maps Swat portal has as default. So unless it's saying 1.8 or 1.82 on it, be sure those maps are still missing a lot of stuff "Altair sector" and "CF sector or something like this" maps are outdated.
