i dont want to do an open betaif we do we have no guarantee that the testers dont mess up something with their installationnext to that it unlikely to get good feedback from a large group of people ... imagine you have to ask 30 players for what they did right before the server crashesthat clearly would slow down the fixing no, a closed beta and an internal alpha done by some of the developers is more than enough
