The filebase is working again. forget about the 1-2 weeks that i mentioned. I wrote a new importer today which did the job instead of me uploading the files manually.

Ive been busy with detail work during the past days. A few things worth to mention. There have been a few issues with the google translate widget at the bottom of the page when using mobile devices. I have adjusted the widget style to fit better on the screen and not mess up the mobile design. A few additional changes that are important. The Wiki is to about 90% restored. Only some entries of the Crossfire category are missing. That is work in progress. The old Bugtracker entries which were not "done" have been included into the new Ticketsystem. It simply didnt make much sense to transfer stuff that no longer is needed. I finished cleaning up. only 200gb and 350k files r left (thats not bad considering that there are currently 2 Portal backups which will be removed once all content from the old Portal has been restored). The new Portal alone consists of +94k files. I found a few nice gems in the old TLR backups Will upload it to the gallery now.

lexicon will be done tomorrow

Ok since the Wiki and the Lexicon now have been transfered from the old Portal Backup I have shup down the old website now. We dont need it anymore. After 3 1/2 weeks the new Portal is fully operational and I am totally exhausted. But I think it was worth it. In the upcoming days and weeks I will do a few structural changes to the forum to simplify the structure a bit. I actually already started with that but require a bit more time to think about what works best. Feedback of course is welcome.…

Just some minor changes: All members now can bookmark content all over the Portal and even share these bookmarks with other users. Thats a pretty useful tool that might help you to find interesting stuff again. right now I see the best protection in clear terms of use and privacy policies since every technical solution can be easily bypassed its not even worth trying you cant lock out kids from a gaming forum

I think in case of the SWAT Portal I am really close at fulfilling the new regulations. I went through everything that we offer here and all data that is stored or shared with 3rd party services. All of that is covered by the new Privacy Policies and Terms of use. There is even the option to export all data that we store about users if they request that. One more thing to mention. I belong to the people which dont do online banking. Yeah such people still exist. Since I was practically nonstop busy working on the Portal I didnt notice that we got a bit more money than we needed for the Portal upgrade (because of bank transferals). Its not my intention to make any profits from this situation. I will put that money away for the case that we add more features or have to do additional updates in the future.

Some information about the structural changes. A few dozen forum boards have been merged or removed completely to simplify the structure. Old news and spoiler threads are now part of the general discussions. News are now covered by our News system and since we have spoiler tags everywhere there is no need for any spoiler boards any longer.
