strange I have never seen this before. But this specific windows dll seems to cause similar crashes on other apps and games. One of the crash reports there did lead to a detailed error report regarding directx. Are you sure that it is correctly installed and enabled?

in that case you can also switch to the vanilla FL shader because removing that file will disable the other shaders

the latest windows updates pretty much all have errors... up to the point where windows deletes personal files it is strange that such huge mistakes happen... especially with such a wide spread beta test

... but if it helps to fun CF you can ignore all the problems and side effects (just saying - you have to set priorities)
