from what i know the old characters still will appear in those episodes from time to time (which always was cool with stargate... those crossover episodes were just fantastic) and the story will start right with stargate atlantis as they go on a mission to find a old ship

mckay did a fantastic development during the seasonsfrom a covard egomanic who tried to avoid every mission towards a guy how made friends, a guy who got respected, a guy which learned to fight and even volunteered for dangerous missions, even willing to risk his life thats most impressive with this character
