  • As its scifi I am sure the player can make use of a handheld scanner and a fancy totally unrealistic building tool. The first phase is the shortest and just deals with the basics of the game in the most interesting way without messing up other players experiences. Thats why it is singleplayer. I consider it a bad idea to let total noobs spawn into a phase 2 which already requires to know what to do. I hate it when I get put into a game which doesnt tell me how stuff works.
