thats actually hard to tell without further information maybe the updates get blocked by a firewall maybe its a permission issue with the installation folder the fact that it started crossfire but then exited might indicate that the mod is not installed correctly or that it crashed because of incompatible savegames on the first run it actually should have downloaded +100 files the daily updates are smaller.

where is the game installed on your PC?` have you tried to start it with a disabled firewall?

well, there is no question about updates... it just starts them.... there is a progress bar moving

I dont know for the matter of fact that I dont know what exactly prevents the updates on your PC. You could have some strange settings which prevent updates.... or some of your installed software causes conflicts.... or it is a firewall problem... or an overambicious AV tool. I simply dont know the reason for the problem. The launcher was designed to work with a standard installation of Windows. Thats it. If anything else installed on your PC causes conflicts I am unable to help.
