  • It isn't against server rules, but remember that if one is using bots and bats often, he or she will most likely find themselves in all sorts of nasty situations. The vast majority of pilots don't use them, and to do so is not only a dishonorful act, but one of cowardice as well. If you need an equipment edge against your opponent to win, you're obviously the lesser skilled of the two pilots. The stats won't reflect that, and while it isn't cheating, the other player is cheated of what probably …
  • I only use bots and bats for between-battle repairs and NPC swarms. The gameplay, especially in PvP, is much more realistic (thus enjoyable) when your opponent's buckling hull doesn't just magically regenerate . On the other hand, it's fun beating someone using them because there's an added touch of accomplishment in destroying their ship's hull several times before being rewarded with the kill
  • I was hunting down a particular train the other day and the person F1'd out at the last second. I'd much rather have train drivers using bots and bats than to just suddenly *poof* out of hypothetical existance before my very eyes I was wondering though, doesn't an APC still have lv 10 slots? One could run or put up a decent fight with such a ship I would think...anyway, my qualm is with VHF pilots who do it. If you're in a clearly inferior combat vehicle I don't see how the act is dishonorable a…
  • (Quote) Personally, I like them for repairs between fights. Without them I'd lose a lot of money and time contstantly returning to docks and stations for repairs. They're in the game for a reason, it's just that some people misuse them
  • Live to fight another day, a sound strategy in such situations
  • The giveaway is when you smack down the shields a second time and they pop right back up. Hehehe, it happens all the time. Accidents are a far cry from strategy though. And yes, if you know you're going down, and you can't take them with you, by all means fight tooth and nail to drag it out as long as possible (in a train I'm hoping... :D). You'd be surprised what a couple extra seconds can let you do (go to cruise, dock at a moor, jump, ect...).
  • The Earl of Spam thinks the last few posts are too far off-topic (bad sign) .
  • Until DC policy has been made for its police RP I will fiercely punish violators of "laws". There will be no exceptions, corruption, or pity on my part. Being "police friendly" is not going to be a free ticket to smuggling, and allies and enemies alike should be aware of it. Now I became aware that Jameson's train had been destroyed several times in a short amount of time only after I killed it myself when I saw his account posted. The problem isn't that there are too many police, it's just tha…
