Excluding can work, FL will not encrypt the HDD, as it hasn't with anyone else that I've heard of. My old PC had a problem similar like that, so I turned it off and it worked fine. I think about the .exe is because it is it is run by an unknown author that the computer hasn't heard of before, so it treats it as "untrusted" Like the apple software do, so the Generic alert is probably known for the "untrusted" Side of things Hope it helps
