So I fired up Vanilla freelancer yesterday, and in some of the menus I get this weird text glitch where all of the text in the menu just starts going CRAZY, flying around the screen and warping, making the text unreadable. In the weapons dealer menu, it does this, but it goes back to normal when I hover over the "buy" button. Any deviation from the buy button causes the chaos to return. While I was google-ing, I saw that someone had already tried that, and it had no effect. It doesn't have anything to do with Freelancer not recognizing the hardware. Honestly I actually think the only way to solve this is install win xp driver. The problem is where on earth did intel hide the drivers for the GMA 950.
