    in fact you can play multiplayer with both versions CF1.52 has a normal singleplayer with storyline and with the OpenSPAddon you can disable the storyline and play like it would be a multiplayer game i suggest not to use other OpenSP mods or to use the Crossfire OpenSPAddon with other mods than Crossfire
