using the ships that you got on lower ranks makes no sense at allthey dont carry enough weapons and you have crap stats if you got a new ship then use the new ship but it makes sense to keep them... at least for nowyou have a ship slot limit (i think 7 ships)... and can practically keep all the old shipsand i personally would advice you to do that... keep themif you get special equipment that you want to keep but not mount on your main ship then you can store it on the other ships that you dont…

the only way is to go to the place on earth space dock where you can buy shipsright infront of the turbolift is a guy which lets you select your active ship there you can move stuff from the ships to your inventory and then to the back to the next shipHint: forget this drag and drop -> use double click to move items
