You see no videos starting, nor anything ? If so, apparently you have some issues with the player version, or so... you could try to edit the Freelancer file to skip and not load any intro video to see if it's doing the same. If the videos appear but then the game loads and never start (or crash), that should be cus you still have vanilla or other mod's save games in "My Games" at your Documents, you need that folder clean before starting Crossfire.
