The downtime of the Crossfire server last weekend was due to an hardware failure which damaged one of the servers HDDs. The Server is running again but the HDD is still damaged and running only for the fact that it is mirrored. This weekend Ill do a complete backup of everything on the server (not just the chars) and will get the damaged HDD replaced either monday or tuesday morning. Very likely most players wont even notice the repairs but if there is a downtime for a few hours you know why.

Plan has changedthe backups went faster than i thought so the HDD will be replaced tomorrow betwen 9 and 11 am gmta final backup of the chars will be done prior the exchange

after replacing the first damaged hdd the 2nd one also got damaged (incompetent technicans) the 2nd one will be replaced now aswell (should get finished this evening)however since both hdds get replaced it is unlikely that these jerks do a synchronization so ill have to install everything again manually tomorrow (that takes times)

OK the server is back onlinehowever it is not as functional as beforebackups, statistics and dynamic content are disabled it takes several days to rebuild everything

i am currently downloading the chars and will put them into the server again if that fixes the problems with the chars then fine.... if not i will have to use an older backup (1 day earlier)

last backup was taken at 8amprobably due to time differences and to the fact that i have no idea when the server did shut down exactly this is possible main question is if all the chars are there

since it appears only to be your char and ive played in all the backups you probably have to rebuild it

im currently working on the server trying to get the setup finishedit will be back in 1-2 hours

okthe server should run on normal conditions againsome statistics are not working yet aswell as the dynamic economy and the automatic backups have to be tested with the next run (this night)
