i might be wrong now but believe that on the coalition stations are no news at all, but the npcs offer rumors containing that quest infoi havent played that part of the game for some time but i believe the npcs hold the info

i can not imagine any ingame events which make news disappear... they work independent from such stuff and the rumours should always appear on the stations but only a very few of them contain such rumours
