dynamic asteroids are those floating asteroids which you can destroythey are considered so special because you can create also big asteroids this way which float through spacehonestly i wouldnt recomment that since the performance goes down and you will need to have a high end pc if you want to display many asteroidseveryone of them can be destoyedif they loot something or not is just a matter of settings (not really hard) and yes it should be possible to make them destructable by explosions

1. yes it does work... and if you wont have too many asteroids it wont start to lag (its a matter of balance)2. have you tried to make the explosion bigger?
