    FIRST: right click on the FL icon on your desktop or start menu
    Second: click on the right click menu "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR"
    Third: MAKE SURE YOU ARE ONLINE SO THE DAMN PROGRAM CAN SELF DOWNLOAD ADDITIONAL PATCHES!!!
    After all that wait until it's done!

    Well,
    First install a clean freelancer game
    activate for the first time the mod
    Install the patch


    then run as admin while online and all should be fine. Right click and and run as admin should be at the top. When it's online it'll take a minute but it'll downlaod the patches all nice. You won't beable to play multiplayer till windows 7 comes out but play an open SP to get familiar with the sytems.

  • Change for bounty hunting

    to be quite honest, that bites. I always hated it when someone tried to kill you without giving you atleast a warning. the way I see it, if your after the bounty on someone in an RP server, atleast play the part. Start off with:
    "<so-n-so>, I'm here for the bounty on yer face. Preapre to die!"
    "Don't even try to escape, drop your extra nomad cannons or i'll take them by force."
    Crap like that.

    Yes, i've been to sol and to nephel. But... Quest? What?
    Also, I seem to be stuck in hiruga. I found the large asteroid base and, BTW, the *secret* was nice! I didn't have the money to buy it but geez that attatchment's stats were sick. I'm currently docked at shingu and I want out! How do I get back to chugoku? Also, I thought I found the jump hole but the thing on my map was a wreck with a load of diamonds.

    i've been doing some exploring and found system X and so far from what I've seen the new systems are totally awesome! But alas, I'm looking for a place called the Spacial Rift located in the SOL system. Also, i've seen a map for an "earth" flight. kinda like the outer dyson sphere but with land masses and islands. Could I get the location for both? I'm just roaming around in SP before I get Win7 in novembre

    yes! A Tyranid Norn queen coupled with two Carnifex evolved for space fights and some space ravenors for protection. the chitinous bodies would also reflect well against the insect like dom'k'vash

    I get alot of my ideas from insects and blades. There are a series of ships called the "hive" I'm working on. The tiers are:
    Hive Swarm Fighter: a light fighter with only three relatively weak guns, armor, and sheilding but they travel in groups of 6 to 10 ships.
    Hive Warrior: Heavy fighter. Acts mostly as either a vanguard fighter or escort.
    Hive interceptor: gunship. Strong armor and weapons which include sheild destroying missiles make this the razor stinger of the Hive.
    Hive Brood Ship: Battleship/Cruiser. same as above but 3 times tougher.
    Hive Queen: Battleship/Destroyer. ALWAYS accompanied with 2 brood, 4 interceptor, and 3 wings of fighters. Normally seen before planets are consumed.


    A good place to get ideas is looking at the ships and fighters for a game called warhammer 40K. i play as the TAU which have some sick looking gunships and skimmers. In fact, my avatar is a Tau XV84 crisis commander battlesuit I hand painted.

    While i a newb to crossfire, I'm not to Freeelancer. These ships were made not to long ago but I don't have a 3D modeling program right now, these are are just rough sketches made for reference.
    top: A Kriserian Fighter. This alien craft was found crashed in a nearby system by a clan called the Black Hand.
    bottom: Kriserian Bomber. A powerful very heavy fighter with strong adamantine armor and capable of mounting near impenatrable sheilds. It's slolw but with two torpedo and mine mounts it's a force to be reckoned with. How this fighter was found is kept hush hush by the Black Hand. rumors fly around about a legendary "energy" torpedo that is carried by this reclusive ship.

    In all seriousness, LOL @ prevoius comments.
    I would look up old rennassaunce (Spelled right?) pictures and arcitecture. The Italian ships would look way cool as kinda citadel or cathedral like. Well, the battle ships anyway. Pasta for logo sounds good though!

    I beleive a jump gate to that system was also near the Blood dragon's kyoto base, Tohoku I beleive it was...


    My bad, the base is in Shugoku. There's a jump hole that takes you to Tohoku or something like that dead east of their base. Near Tegaki's arch palace there is a gate to there. At least, i'm sure it is. I dunno, I'm playing single player right now so I can't exactly go exploring right now.
