  • Cant install crossfire mod.

    I keep getting errors about trents head lol.
    Im using freelancer mod manager to install crossfire 1.7
    I got the error:


    Error: SHCopyFile failed ('C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\DATA\characters\heads\pi_pirate5_head.dfm.flmmbak' to 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\DATA\characters\heads\_pi_pirate5_head.dfm')


    Im wondering if it's something to do with the trent model, so I chose the default trent and i still get pretty much the same error.


    Any ideas ?


    Update: I tried re-installing the mod and checking everything was in the right folders, seems to be ok because flmm is picking it up fine. But now im getting the error :


    Error: problem activating 'Crossfire Mod 1.70 Client Edition'
    Error: SHCopyFile failed ('C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\DATA\characters\bodies\li_hatcher_body.dfm.flmmbak' to 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\DATA\characters\bodies\_li_hatcher_body.dfm')


    So something isn't right........


    ANOTHER upate:


    OK so I figured it out...
    I was using the beta v1.4 of flmm, i installed v1.3 hey presto worked first time lol.
    If there's a mod reading this, please feel free to delete this now pointless thread lol

  • Freelancer High-Res Textures.

    I've recently decided to once again dust off my copy of freelancer. And i've been looking around at all the new mods out for it. One thing I thus far haven't been able to find unless i'm looking in all the wrong places, is any kind of texture mod for the game. One thing in particular I would like to see if such a thing exists is some high res textures for freelancer. If anyone can tell me where I can locate any or tell me "you dumbass there aren't any" i'd be most gratefull.
