Problem solved!! Was a typo.

I have a nice new widescreen now and I tried this tutorial, but it doesn't work for me. I changed the resolution in both ini-files, but the game resets it to 800x600 as soon as I launch it. Am I doing something wrong? Can anyone help?

Me? I did not say I must use IE. I did say for those who must use it. That does not necessarily include me. I only use IE to test the look of some web apps on it, because about 40% of the people out there use IE and half of them not nearly the newest version. That's what makes things complicated.

How about one of the other styles you can choose? Bright yellow might be just your thing then.
