A dogs tail (part 3)

I fired up my old and bettered train
“the hauler” and sat there waiting for the even older heating
system to kick in, when the radio crackled, the message being
inaudible , so a quick thump on the dash fixed that “calling all
ASF pilots, a meeting is to be held (crackle fuzz) location”

humph, bloody radio.

I shut down the hauler and headed for
the office ( the bar ) and used the radio there. I revived the
message loud and clear. I looked across the loading bay trying to
decide what ship would be fitting for a first impression with my new
comrades.

Within the hour I was in (top secret)
being put through some training manoeuvres (top secret)

with (top secret) .

over the following days all seamed
quiet and calm, but deep down below the wolf pack stirred , the
preparations reached fever pitch . Then the alarm bells sounded at
the Vega jump gate screaming “intruder” . Peris station hailed a
may day call “we are under attack” Horatio was the other side of
universe excavating ruins of the daam'kvosh at planet sprauge with
the late professor Quintaine's assistant who's name escapes me.

So I scrambled snaggle tooth (
inquisitor class border worlds dreadnought )

to my surprise peris had over reacted .
It was a lone fighter under the name of THE-ONE.

His efforts to assault peris station
were repelled with ease. he assaulted several times to no avail .

A short time later he returned with his
battle ship called The morning star. and again he was thwarted by
snaggle tooth.

The next day, Vega was once again
assaulted by THE-ONE and a friend or two, I tried to fend them off
for as long as I could, but to no end. I was being beaten badly, the
Blood Guard and Crossfire Police Department noticed this and rode in
to my aid, like something of those old western films from millennia
past......

the fight was fast and hard, but the
tide was now in our favour as the experienced pilots of the blood
guard and CFPD started to shine. Then two more ships entered Vega.

The SMG had sent two pilots, a battle
ship and a fighter to Vega. They hailed me and after a brief
conversation.

they declared they where not involved
within this conflict they were simply there to observe.

The fight raged on, With our guns at
melting point, to our relief, The invaders retreated and the day was
won .

Since the conflicts occurred there have
been multiple skirmishes with THE-ONE, some won, some lost, but that
is another tail for another time.

yep forlon and all above all good advise
once the new player starts to find hes way around a bit perhaps maybe thay should jion in some of the events
but i found one of the most important thing for me first time i came to cf and on my return was chatting to to the clan players
all where help full and all gave me tips ( not money ) i wouldnt of accepted ..
and hell i been here a few months and im still finding bits i forgot about hehe . like litttle jump holes that are a long way of the beaten track
that u tend to forget about

any ways all new players have fun and jion in its awsome

i enjoyed the event ... i was spikys wing man ... but he did keep saying " bitch this way " .. new wing man call sign i think or a BG term hmm oh well was fun
tryed to to print screen of ship after event was done but all i got was the respawn page .... thnx pui

and i managed to screen the BG Battle cry

yes i mean one fallen ...

is the server up ? cant see it ?
also there was a big patch on my downloader .. it went to 160
is there some where we can see what was patched ?

ok now i can see all servers .. but all have ???? for ping and 0 players ..
and i cant connect to cf ..
any one else having this problem ?

loads of people are bitching that role play is dieing here ... so i thought i would mention this

hi all .. just a thought about pirates and tax

when i pirate taxes a player its all kool and part of the role play ...
and some times its fun to run ... thay will catch you sooner or later ..

but heres the thing that i think is a bit wrong ... and not role play ..
/ changing character or if u like swapping character solly to tax a player and then swapping back or changing charcter to say carry on pvp in x3043 or arena .. to me this is not role play this is having loads of accounts and exploting the game almost a kin to telporting round crossfire ... some players have that many chars its like there is one new ship in every system

to me this is a bit wrong or even a explot that should maybe looked at by the rule makers ?

i actualy like the pirate tax thing and it can be fun .... but some players only logg there pirate to tax then logg out to another character and pvp there buddies ... hmm some role play

a pirate can only tax a player every 2 hours ... would be good if he had to stay logged in on that char he taxed on for more than 25 secs
would stop the charcter hoppers as i call them ...

i would love to help in some way swat .. but my reading and writing skills are fair to useless do to being disclixic ..
i can t help building a mod .. iwouldnt know where to start ... im a pc nummpty
the only thing i can do is role play and tell all new players to come to the portal and get invovled ,, which im all ready doing

if u can think off a job i could do ill try ...
but im a very slow learner ...

i hope people get up and help ...

@ husker .. he was a peris station so he didnt get me best vodka .. i think he got some cheap red wine
and some of those little umbrelleas you put in cocktails .. oh and some moldy crisps
