At 92% completion and if we say say that CF 1.8 has been in the works for 2 years and that OP continue to work on it at the average speed of the last 2 years. We can calculate that it should be finished in 0.17 years or 2 months.

But of course I'm making a few big assumptions to arrive at that result.

One of the main advantage (other then the turn rare) of the lagg is that it can take missiles from the front and not take any or very little damage. If that only fact was fixed, I'm sure the lagg would loose most of its advantage. The better turn rate is relatively well balanced by the fact that the lagg has low armour.

I was there and I'm a SP. I did not see any rules being broken. Dieing was clearly to your disadvantage.

The no suicides rule's intention is to prevent the use of death to gain an unrealistic advantage on other players. And you didn't gain any advantage and you really were out gunned by the NPCs and by me dropping your shields (since pirates can do that now before calling a tax)

From my understanding of orbital mechanics and of how solar system form, it is extremely unlikely that a globular solar system would form. As a gas cloud contract to form a start the angular momentum of the mass will bring the mater in a relatively uniform 2d plane around the star.

To have a more chaotic system would most likely take the intervention of a large mass coming into the system and disturbing it or the capture of a non local object.

For example, the moon Triton around Neptune turns the wrong way and is believed to be a captured dwarf planet of the same class as Pluto.
