Hm - You might be right indeed. But that doesn't change the fact that there are THAT MUCH space games out there

Well, of course not only a banner or an avatar will get people to buy the game..but it might open their interest (combined with the trial version banner I use in my signatures too - So they can try the demo)
Also to mention that there weren't that much space action/simulation games in the last years. So fans of this genre might at least give it a look (demo version)
And - it won't harm

And I will hunt down every up coming down load source I can find

wanted to ask if here are any talented designers out here which would volunteer for some little work for me?

I need one/some banner(s) to promote FL. Some thing familiar to this ones:

What should be mentioned in the banner?

Some key words describing Freelancer: Explore, trade, pirate, fight, dynamic raputation, open universie, giant muliplayer, huge PvP battles, etc. etc...

The banner should be in english, optionally also in german (due to the high amount of germans who like the game ^^), but feel free to create also banners in additional languages if you feel so.

Alternativly also some avatars, but they have a quite low priority.

I personally would prefer animated pictures since you can store more information there with out having a large image.

FL is working with Avira Antivir on Vista (Connection to the server)

afaik läuft FL auch mit AVG nicht ganz einwandfrei, mit Avira jedoch schon.
Anleitung gitb es im prinzip von mir schon länger..findet sich im Helparea unter dem Titel "Freelancer problem solutions FAQ"
(bezieht sich auf FL selbst und nicht auf den CF Launcher)

Kannst ja auch der Einfachheithalber einfach ganzes Programm deinstallieren und Avira Antivir (www.gidf.de) draufpacken

IV. Kann nicht auf Server verbinden (Vista)
Norton oder Kaspersky dürfen sich nicht auf dem Rechner befinden (deaktivieren reicht nicht!), bei Avast! muss der NetworkShield deinstalliert werden.
Evtl. IPv6 Protokoll ausstellen und im IPv4 hab ich eine feste LAN IP Adresse vergeben.

No, this wasn't my intension. It is not that I would like to defend them, but it is a different between beeing part of the admin team or not...And btw OP, they can only give the guy a penalty if they know about him (they may haven't recognized that SWAT got hacked or they don't have the Internet Protocol Address . May be you want to give them the IP of the hacker)

Please be care full with such accesiations. You don't know if the hacker is in the admin crew (which I personally highly doubt), and it is a completly different thing to hack some body as "talking shit" or doing what ever bad things.
If I had miss understood your posting, correct me please.

I also want to say that it isn't completly true that the whole Discovery Crew/Technicias and community don't do any thing for the rest of the FL comm...just take cannon as example, some of you may know him from The Starport. He is developening and releasing quite much FLHook plugins to the public.
