as for rp there might be a story but i hardly ever see anyone playing it out and actually being their character and rping sorry but i havnt.

so there was nothing wrong with dockraping in his own space fine.

But if this is the way i get replied to when i dont understand something and people set me straight then i think i wont bother coming on the server anymore.

To All people who play on the Freelancer Crossfire server...

It has come to the attention of some of the members in LP that the LP clan RP is suffering with new rules and regulations in place while the ASF-CSF war is on, it prevents all taxing and such pirate activities.

but that is not the point...people speak of RP and having fun...now i've seen having fun...but as yet i've seen no real RP what so ever.

please understand i mean no insult or disrespect at all i am simply voicing my opinion and concern...because like many of you i've been playing games and doing RP for a long time. I've been in clans on many many games that really do RP...in clans that go to huge efforts to ensure that RP is present.

on the server...people tell me that they are in character but, i haven't really seen this... i've seen no Role-Playing, i've seen no people talk in character and actually attempt to RP what so ever. all i see nowadays is increasing PvP which is not RP in any way. its just fighting, and some people use the war as a good excuse just to blow the hell out of anyone and everyone they see regardless of what clan they are, or what rules stop them from doing this...

I must express a concern about a particular player

one IOC Dark Angel, i have no evidence save the words of LP Xaf-Flier and Captain proton that Dark Angel was camping right above New Berlins docking ring waiting to Spawnkill me in my train. as i have no screenshots of such behavior i cannot prove this but as Xaf told me to stay docked at new berlin because Dark Angel and his companions were right outside i am enclined to believe and trust my fellow clan members to be telling the truth. every time Proton and Xaf attempted to come to my aid at planet berling they were destroyed immediately by Dark Angel and his companions in IOC. both proton and Xaf confirmed that they were camping...again i have not a screenshot but would still request this matter be investigated by server police...as this act was against the server rules, yet Dark Angel did not care.

After a good thirty minutes or so...Dark Angel eventually left planet new berlin and proceeded to harras LP personnel. Might i add that Dark Angel's companions left this breach of rules alone after ten minutes because it got silly and in the end it was just Dark Angel.

this is the sort of behavior that ruins it for the rest of us who try to RP...most people when i try to RP don't seem to understand what i am talking about and i have to explain or quote ' (am in rp mode)' when i say that it seems to help people understand but i still do not see people's rp in game.

i will say again i am not trying to insult or offend i promise i am just concerned that a server that rp's is losing it's RP, when people obtain a cruiser people seem to just attack without provokation, and also there is no RP involved. all i would like is to discuss why there is no RP on an RP server. There is a story set up but i see no one in character and RPing towards that end, i am just concerned that's all...i like the server and most of the people in it...i love the community it holds and do not want to see if suffer for the actions of people like IOC Dark Angel.

Say with all respect and admiration, I'm with Flying_si on this. i could not possibly say what flyin_si said because it was heartfelt so i won't try, i think that everyone responsible for this release are true game gods the best of the best, what i've seen created here is what all gaming companies never do...give the people exactly what they want , you've done what they can't and won't do and without the aid of the assets they have.

as i've said, you might not like it, its just an idea. all i'm doing is trying to contribute to the server, just try and give back something so.

all i'm saying is i had an idea for some ships and fleet ships that people can buy and fly that might be good for the server and its rp i don't know its just an idea, i'm gathering data for OP, and if he says no then that's a no, at least i gave it a try. all it is at the moment is an idea nothing to get worked up about it might not even go through just yet.

i havent even gathered enuf data to present to OP so be patient the idea might not work

i will do some internet research, gather some data on it as for modelling i'm not able to do it but will have a look at that aswell maybe i could take it up.

as for negative posts i understand that you don't want loads of stuff ruining it for you, coz maybe its crap to you but unless you know what ships and style i am talking about please don't judge the idea.

as for the copyright there shouldnt be a problem coz of the fact that star wars ships have been used and stuff from other places aswell that would fall under copyright so.

Just had a good idea for a couple more ships, and an area for ideas for more ships

The first was the colonial fighter from galactica that is out there that can be recoloured painted black or dark metal colour and called black viper? or some other cool name that could be thought of, modify the statistics of the ship a bit make it more acceptable but its gotta be a good and expensive ship, coz lets face it, Battlestar Galactica rocks lol.

and the other idea i had was, from a playstation game called Colony Wars, the ships from there are quite unique and cool and with a bit of fiddling around could make a good edition to the Crossfire collection. and also a look at the fleetships in colony wars merit a look aswell they are cool.

so some ideas there if anyone is willing to take them on.
