    install patch 1.7a, sometimes its a bit fiddly, wait for the launcher to update itself, restart launcher then 1.54 should be on the top. if it dont say 1.54 then dont go into game until it does because it causes problems for others. reinstall patch again, open launcher and it should say 1.54

    thanks gunny, i'll make the char immediately, soon as i can transfer my stuff off a char i'll need to delete. we will start with this wednesday night at 8pm then. thanks for the support yourself and canoso :). looking forward to it.

    well i did offer to do smuggler hunt on a permanent basis. but nobody has given me anything to use as the prize money despite gunny announcing on the server that i would run this event in future. so should i be using my own money to run this event with? i was also told i would need a event manager char and i would get a special ship for the purpose. or do you not want me to run this event?


    plz let me know OP what you want me to do. I play this daily, so really its no problem for me to commit myself 1 night a week for this event. i could possibly even do 2 events although that wouldnt be quite as easy for me.


    I wont be offended if your not going to let me run it for some reason or other, just would be good to know where i stand, without just going ahead without anything official or any help with the funding.


    And Ghosts Twighlight Serial Killer event is great, he runs it very well, i was lucky enough to be off work and enter this event, and it was very well organised :) would be good to see this as a recognised event for those people on the other side of the planet :)

    seadog / spacedog - i thought of the spacedog myself as seadog didnt seem right for this sim


    gizzards - pirates cut open an enemy person to try and find these organs called gizzards, but in fact they only exist in birds, so its a very messy ordeal.

    and pirates, be polite to people, ask them for money, then rip their gizzards aout and feed em to the parrot if they dont give ya any, Arrrrr, remember you dont need to threaten people, they should fear your reputation enough to just hand over the peices 'o eight.


    any pirate i dont see doing pirate RP owes me 5 million peices 'o eight.

    to ask clans to not recruit ppl until DC has 10 members would not be right. Because if a person wants to be pirate, why can i recruit him? bad idea. If i speak to somebody who wants to be police, Sure, i'll mention DC and CFPD are the police and send him to them. banning recruitment for other clans is plain wrong, and LP always recruit over level 40 players, so you guys normally snap up the newbies for we get them. and we only have the ones who want pirate RP.


    If DC were online rather than chatting in forums, then there would be people visible there to recruit. and all current members need the authority to recruit, or your a dead clan. Nobody can help DC if they dont help themselves.

    USE YOUR IMAGINATION!!!. CFPD are crooked cops, they are pirates in police uniforms, Gunny has the right idea of how to spice up the gameplay and RP. Us pirates really have enough trouble with CFPD :) but thats good.


    How does DC ever expect to get any better when none of them agree on anything, and they dont spend a bit of time resolving their own problems internally. Engage brain and work together, try to be creative!! its enthusiasm that breeds enthusiasm

    Pirates and Freelancers both have the issues with learning the RP, as you can see how the topic started.


    yeah i doubt the RP is anywhere near as exiting on other servers, i wouldnt not know because ive not been to more than 1 vanilla freelancer server before. But, the RP here can get your heart racing IF enough people cast aside there fears of losing money and dying and engage in the RP, and accept, this is probly the harshest of RP servers out there. and i love the RP here. Its just a shame sometimes theres a lack of police, i've only been chased 2 times. If Gunny is reading, im going to steal a Shroud and kill you with it m8. lol, as that CD slot has been fixed, in 1.7 its worth me making it my Police killing ship now. that should wind him up [8]

    your both top of my list of people to tax, and please think that as honour, as thats about the nicest thing a pirate can do with somebody :) to get them theyre affectionate lasers :) i look forward to seeing you both in space, and please pay me 5 mil tax, there i said it up front :) [8] , it would be nice to see this server have a nice start wouldnt it :)

    accepted, and yes agree with you, most likely nothing will change on the issues, they have only the attitude they have can change :). like mine did. i had my fair share of problems too, but talking helped overcome them.

    Dopp is absolutely amazing at escaping me in his train. have a chat with him m8. but you did well getting away from me ;D, Arrr me parrot was jumping up and down and everything.


    Az, as a pirate i understand for a trader its never funny being attacked in your train, but as a pirate i have to do this, its my job, otherwise i may aswell not be a pirate. its never anything personal, hell your a mate.


    As a trader, remember that aswell as doing the ASF thing, you can also call upon police , bg etc... so really, when i attack you, im going to really have my hands full afterwards. you always get the sweet revenge, not me. i just have to get you back when the opportunity arises next, whereas you can do it anytime. thus pirates are at a disadvantage, and have a hard life. :) much harder than a traders life who get attacked by pirates. for pirates, smuggling is very risky, i've lost total 3-400 mil in getting blown up by police and BG. and my spending on weapons is around 10 mil a week. us pirates need to make tax to survive. it help if people pay tax please.


    please pay tax for the pirates, we need to buy parrots because some police and BG kill our parrots in battle. Save the parrots, please dont make them an endangered species :)
