  • The Big Race Event

    well....


    out of 26 ppl online last night, and with an hours warning, and plenty of notification and encouragement only 2 ppl could be bothered with the Big Race event. As such i wont be running it again. i will be competing in the next one instead.


    anyone else, apart from inferno and the other event managers, want to take time out to organise an event for the players enjoyment?

    this is standard procedure that all SP follow. of course if any player that will allow themselves to be tested by an SP, at the time in question, co-operates without any form of argument whatsoever. if any argument/question of judgement is offered by that certain player then EXPECT to kicked and banned for at least 24hrs so that ADMIN may examine the players files and evidence, if any, can be gathered.


    Gunny is head of SP, and as such only answers to OP himself. his judgement has proved to be exemplary in the past. bear this in mind when questioning his accusaions. but like all of us here we are all falable, with this in mind keep AN OPEN MIND. as we SP have to.


    i hope this matter can be resolved ammicably for both parties and we can put this behind us^^


    this is purely my opinion as SP, without being there at the incident and only being privvy to the statements made on this forum.


    a word of advise: NEVER call for an SP to be banned again m8, if it was me i'd ban you just for that. i can be just as strict as gunny, if im pushed that hard.


    BTW, ive been playing FL since its release date too. this was my first online server, first online game. ive experienced many servers since then and i will garuantee that there are servers out there that would ban you for a lot less.
    this server is the best FL mod server i have played, and will ever play. OP has created something here that is true to FL in every respect and he keeps on expanding and improving the experience. Dont make this incident as reason that may put you off this server, or start you off on the wrong foot, you will be truly missing out.

  • Noob question: What happens when you are killed?

    as a rule players under level 40 shouldnt be fired upon or put into an rp situation where the odds are stacked against them with no hope of escape or appeasaing thier attackers.


    as for traders, i am one, the cost of most commodities here is a lot less than thier selling price. as such profits can far out wiegh the risks involved en route.


    if you need any help/advise server side just ask any SP or clan member, maybe not the pirates tho :D

  • Mod will not activate...

    ok, try this way:


    1. deactivate all mods in FLMM 1.31


    2. uninstall FLMM 1.31 including all mods


    3. Uninstal FL inc. all saved game data and screenshots


    4. re-install FLMM 1.31, click no when it asks you to locate freelancer.exe


    5. re-install CF 1.7, click no when it ask same question as above when install is complete.


    6. re-install freelancer.


    7. open FLMM, activate CF 1.7 (takes about 5 mins)


    8. click "launch freelancer" tab in FLMM.


    9. enjoy!! see you server side.


    WHEN YOU FIRST ENTER THE MAIN MENU PAGE DEACTIVATE 3-D SOUND IN OPTIONS. OR YOU MAY CRASH REPEATEDLY!


    this whole processs takes no more than about 20 mins.
