    I heard from another Freelancer modder that the light type L_SPOT used in many base .thn files is broken in the new DirectX version. This light type can be replaced with L_POINT, which should give better results. I'm not a modder myself so I don't have any experience regarding this matter, but I think it's worth trying out.

    Vanilla Freelancer works fine.


    Crossfire 2.0 also worked without issues on the same Windows installation about 1 year ago.


    Deleting the d3d11.dll file in the EXE folder and not applying the updates fixed the issue for me.

    But I'm not sure if I will miss any important updates if I choose not to apply the updates.
