anybody who saw them? critics welcome

I've seen both movies. Well, seen..... Ok, the last samurai I have seen. Quite good, when the dvd will be released I will add it to my buy-wish list.
I started with a man apart, but after 15 minutes I deleted the movie, and moved on to another one. Ama sucks big time, not the best movie of Vin Diesel by far.

I've got apocolypse now on dvd. Shall i try to rip it? Afterwards I can pit it on my ftp server so you can download it from me....

oh and i get around 20-25 frames

I'm getting about 70 fps in Freelancer full detail...... that's nice :)
Just some lag when i'm playing online :(

Only 2 pc's to work with - well, to be exactly, just 1..... my wife uses the other one. But then again, one pc is enough for freelancer. The 700 GB is nice for storage :)

A few remarks: The fact that I'm using 2.1 sound on a 5.1 nforce2-soundoutput is because my right ear is deaf, so I can't hear surround sound. That's why my wife is using my 5.1 surround set :)
For communication I'm using primary a 100 MBit switch, but between my work pc and the fileserver I'm using the 1000 MBit NIC's with a crossed cable for improved speed.
The firewall uses also diskspace on the fileserver, 200 GB to be exact, but the traffic for that is routed over the switch. For up & downloads on my ftp that is sufficient.
vsftp runs chrooted, so the ftp-users I create cannot move outside the public area's.

    [edit] forgot the removable storage

I like to be able to play a game at 1024*768 with all options enabled. FL with low details at 600*480 is just......... ugly. 1280*1024 at full detail........ whow!

For the same reason I like to stick with ATi. I had a nvidia geforce 2, but i wasn't happy about the stability at all. So 2 years ago i switched to an ATi Radeon 8500 128 MB, because that time the ATi card was outperforming almost every nVidia card (only the 4600 was better, but also a lot more expensive) and I found nothing but good remarks on tweakers.net , a dutch hardware & software site. In november last year I switched to another ATi card, an 9600 Pro 128 MB, because the 8500 wasn't very good in Directx 9 games (ok, you can run them, but the graphics are so much better with a proper Directx 9-card. I hope I can use this card for another year or 2 before I have to switch again. But if I switch, it will be another ATi.

The latest news is that the ATi R420-core is ready for mass production and they have beaten nVidia on releasedate.

I am looking forward to the first head to head of the top-end models of ATi and nVidia.
