Sadly Pirates are in this game way too overpowered in this game (thanks to the update we must keep 65m on ourselves so i always need someone for trade if i wanna delete an account or make changes.)

But yeah Server police rather keep doing penalties on me because i once (accidently) set a bounty on a new player. it is very rarely that you see [GR] tags online on this server. if there is no presence of "protectors of the law" chaos will reign. and if Crossfire needs more [GR], it is about time we recruit some. just to show that the admins mean it serious, that the rules MUST be followed.

Now of course moderators will try to say that i am wrong, that i have no brain (like last time^^) that i hit my head in wall (they really said this to me :D) .. but hey, this is all the stuff i have seen and witnessed in space.

When i switched from Vanilla FL to Crossfire FL i had problems adapting the new style and harder combat. you will get used to it. as op has stated it is also important which guns you choose. fast projectiles can make you win hard situations.

you have to wait, it happened for me too: setup needs a very long time to fire up when you doubleclick it just wait like 5 mins. it simply looks like nothing happens but setup just needs the time

i don't know what your problem is, i simply criticized something in a very friendly manner as OP can confirm it. and why should i be disrespectful to him? there are tons of software that have quality problems when a major update happens. no need to jump around mate. and there is no cleaning before my own doorstep as i am not developing any software right now. just because i criticize something of the game doesn't mean i hate it. if i wouldn't appreciate this glorious game i wouldn't be here for a minute

EDIT2: i think i have found a solution to the launcher problem, stay tuned

yep nucnuc i just ran ccleaner in order to delete orphaned registry entries and files. firewall and antivirus shouldn't be a issue either anymore. i will make a fresh install, let's see what happens

how can i find out which module crashed? if you talk about the error log windows itself gives:

i am pretty sure i deleted savegame folder multiple times.

basically the following happens:

i click on multiplayer, the new crossfire loading screen(which looks good i must say) appears, some time passes, crashes back to desktop. sometimes it doesn't even get to the loading screen at all.

EDIT: thanks to deleting the save folder i can reach until the loading screen but problem persists

the game requests admin rights by itself. i temporarily disabled AV but no effect. i have absolutely no idea why it randomly works on some pcs and some not.

fresh install, no savegames now the launcher doesnt even try to start the game because he gets instant launcher crash. i understand that OP tries to bring a modern launcher, but no offense mate but every major update screws up the game stability even more.

i got it working on my win7 pc, but selo602s win7 laptop starts it normally, then the crossfire loading screen comes and then crashed back to desktop. any idea on this?

EDIT: Crossfire does not work on Windows XP too because it needs the newest runtime (.net i guess) and microsoft stopped supporting windows xp.

I guess this is the end of the line.

i wonder how the FL engine reacts to such huge additions. what kind of tools do you use anyways? i ask because microsoft will never hand over the sourcecode..

Had the same problems when i used FL standard system backgrounds. you need to choose the high quality ones in the installation (if your pc can handle it)

This may be a silly question OP, but why are you under time-pressure? The community has waited long for this and i am sure they can wait 1-2 weeks more than expected. do not rush it please. take your time and prepare it well and with a bit of luck you can release it at 31. august

By the way i miss the Ship "loki" from starlancer. i would love to see it in cf 2 since sai exists already
