    if its a false positive it should be solved in the next updates of the antivir... so update it asap...


    on the other hand my avira is not detecting anything wrong with CF, but i disabled the heuristic years ago and it got updated ths morning


    if after updating you still get the same reports, you can wait some days till a new update is released.


    anyways, to be sure thats a false positive, you should check that file with other antivirus and see if they see it as a virus or not
    there are some that can be used online so you dont need to download and install it...
    you can also use www.virustotal.com, where you can submit the file and it will be scanned by several antivirus engines

    there are other reports of avira false positives in the CF files:

    probably your avira antivir is reporting crossfire as an heuristic detection... meaning that the antivir cannot recognize the file as a virus, but the crypted structure of the file makes it suspicious...

    was a great event, i got you in my scanner for some seconds close to the corridor gate, but unfortunately i was not in cruise and i missed you (i guess it was when you were lost in NL ^^)


    then i went for jack and found him when he was reaching CF planet... i fired my weps but he was docking... lucky guy ^^


    and then my net went down... i think ill shoot a coalition torp to my isp X(


    anyways it was a nice event... and yep, to know the location of the j holes is critical in this event ;)

    i think its not exactly what you are looking for but you can try a tablet pc. the HP TX2000 series is not very expensive and works fine (i think the current model is TX2150)

    you may also consider hiring some mercs to protect you if your problem with pirates makes it rentable. most pirates out there are honorful and wont shoot a trader till all his escorts are down

    anyways, to reach the final is a great success for spain (our last one was in 1984, and our last victory in 1964...), so now the final itself is a prize and the players will go and enjoy it as the prize it is :)
