    sometimes hard disks are surprisingly resistant... once dry id bring the disk to the repair guy and ask him to check it and determine if some data is still recoverable


    you can check it by yourself by using a external hard disk case (like an external hard disk but without disk...). you should be able to get one for 15-20 euro

    sidenote 1: no spanish dance involves maracas under any circumstance... the sky sports guy that made the clip should select better sources ^^


    sidenote 2: thats completely true: our national anthem has no words, only music... that way its easy to learn it and even more to sing it: you only have to hum along to the tune... :D


    and yes, thats true too: we probably wont reach 1/4th final, so you will feel like if you were supporting your own national team XDXDXD

    his name is panzer, he was with HAF during their attack on crossfire long time ago (the old vets out there will remember them) and seems he isnt happy with the way it finished ^^.


    currently haf is not active in freelancer, but some of its former members still flight sometimes on hamburg or leipzig servers. by reading their forum it seems some of them want to return to freelancer as some kind of organized clan, but they arent being succesful with the recruitment to say it easy... so id say this panzer is working alone


    the translation by argos is quite accurate, but there are some corrections to be made, especially in the first half (if you notice some of his sentences have no sense, its coz they have no sense in spanish too...):

    id say he was a very good pilot, but not good enough to be a problem if he finally uses a bullpup... unless op is really rusty :P


    as a conclusion, the nature of the message and the way its written leads me to think he was drunk when he wrote that... :D

  • got a doozy of a problem

    in my experience this kind of problems are mostly caused by damaged memory sticks. such a stick could let the computer boot but produce trouble later. it could even let the comp boot in single channel but not in dual channel.


    you can use a memory tester to check the ram (each stick)...


    -google for memtest or memtest86 or use any linux cd (boot from it and type memtest as it asks you for boot)... i think vista has also some kind of memory tester available from vista cd (google for vista memory diagnostic tool)-


    however, as you say it fails if you fit any 2 sticks, maybe its caused by a damaged mainboard


    look at the mainboard, and pay attention to the capacitors (the small cylinders attached everywhere)... check if some of them are swelled or leaking fluids... if so then probably its time to replace that mobo


    if no error is shown in memory or mobo you can disable the dual channel mode (force single channel) in bios, but its a bad business...


    ...as both the mainboard and the memory support dual channel they should work in dual channel... i mean, if they dont work fine just go where you bought the stuff and ask them about warranty...
