Ok maybe i worded my post wrong for the message i was tryiing to present. We are not trying to be criminals. We are not wanting to smuggle for a way to make lots of money or to cause war between clans. We are offering an option of role play to get the fun going again. We as clans in the server are trying to decide what roles we can play to inject life and interest into the game. FOR EXAMPLE: BG is a police clan. Everyone knows it. They scan and try to cath people carrying contriband. Should i be scaned so what. If im carrying toliet paper in my ship i have no worries. If im carring nuke Bomb Parts... then im expecting BG to be looking for me or anyone else who may be doing it. IM INVITING them to play the role. If the catch me..im caught. If i choose to run..then they have the RIGHT to stop me with what force they choose. It is the role they play. I INVITE LP to hunt me down and try to take me out. If i get away im good. If not then they got me dead to rights and im atoms in the wind and they got the cargo whatever it is. That is the role they play. I make no retaliantions. I dont get the pack together and hunt them down. Why? Because they did what they are supose to do while playing the role. We are trying to stimulate action, fun, excitement into the server. Not get mad when we are caught up in the action. If Ronin take a police position it goes the same for them, the roles are not completely hammered out yet. when they are...let the games begin. That is what the aim is. Not war. Not retaliation. Not missunderstandings. FUN!!! is the key word here. I hope this clearifys things. Have fun..good hunting. see u n the server.

I support our clan as smugglers. I dont see it as much of a change from what many of us already do. Who hasnt ran a load of Cardemine or used a Blackmarket item to make money? I think most of us have. What this means is that we can be open to the act of smuggling, but we dont want to be clasified as smuggliers. Who cares im a smuggler..ive been bringing in trains of drugs into Manhattan enough to keet it and the ajacet systems stoned until next new years! Its not as boring as the NewBerlin to Stuttgart route. As for mercenaries being hired for illegal acts. Well that is the perview of the Mercenary. A merc still has to AGREE to do a job when asked. So if a merc is assasinating or working for pirates...then he is doing it of his own free will. One point of being a mercenary is being able to choose the jobs that u attempt to do. Hence the risks involved with the job. The same applies to the smuggler. He may not run contriband all the time...but he is oviously not running legal good all the time either. This has its own risks involved. And risk of piracy is a risk edured by all..all of the time. Pirates dont distinguish between Merc, Smuggler, trader or the easter bunny if it means a quick score. So why all the fuss. If we going to do it. Lets do it. Quite jacking around and lets have some fun. Hope to see ya all soon.

In this situation i dont see how being a mercenary can be illegal. Being a pirate may be an illegal profession but it is one that exists. There fore Independant merchants might want to have figher protection in areas where known piracy exists. That is where the Mercenary come into play. Police factions dont patrol all areas or system. Cant be everywhere at any given time. They do stem the act of Piracy but dont totaly prevent it. A mercenary Fighter escort can stay with a merchant at all times. Makes the act of piracy on such merchant much harder to attempt. Both are working for each others mutual benifit. The merchant is glad to pay for the protection and benifits by making it to his destination in one piece. The Mercenary benifits by getting finacially compensated for taking the risk involved of having to combat pirates should such merchant be attacked. What is the legal harm in that? I dont see any. Mercenary and Pirate are both dangerous porfessions in them selves..but Mercenary benefits by providing a service to thier customers where a pirate benefits at the expence of his target.

having trouble accessing the server. Server sight says server not rebooting 2 player are in

Still 2 in severver after 5 mins..no changer at all. Crossfire

shows up on GSL and gets a ping. Ive deleted and reinstalled 1.56. Still no change. Is

there a new bug? Or is testing underway and no one esle has access? Just wondering.

Evrythings indicates i should be able to access..but im not. As if server is under reboot.

Well, im not going to take my friend Jtak's lead

and cry but im glad Pandora and Chief are on good terms...

No one is really a

liablity in a clan. Everyone is good at something so those skills benefit the clan as a

whole. Im not the greatest Fighter or Trader out there anyway, but who cares....we are in

it for the fun of it so....Have fun.

I wish success on your evdevors to create a

clan Pandora. Its a big step and to have the fortatue to do it is admirable.

As

for the server crashing...there are still bad mods out there? I thought that was why 1.56

was enacted. So that no one could come in with a corrupted mod. O well i guess some one

has found a way to corrupt Ops hard work. I hope all will be sorted soon...lol.

thought maybe it crashed due to the great amount of people logging in yesterday. I havnt

I was reading one of

the earlier pages about this game..it dealing with the warp buoies and stuff..

I have

a question. It is mentioned that this will be a much larger mod then CF. CF took me 5hrs to

downLoad. Some of us are simply not hooked up to cable and use dial up...(at the moment)

Doh! Would here possibly be a way we could have a disc sent with the mod burned on it

provided we were willing to pay the cost of doing so?

This might mean i have to wait

a few days for it to arrive, however i wont have my phone tied up for 12hrs trying to

download the mod. This is just a request to see how the idea would fly. This consept looks

really good and i like it. My only consern ...(for myself) is if i will have time to devote

to both CF or SL/R or Both. Each will be a supurb game to play. OP does good work and is a

master a game codeing i can see. Have u thought of creating your own game and just making

money?...lol. Your skills appear to be of such quality that you would be good at it. Hats

off to OP. Well im off to the races..or trade lanes i should say.

download...lol. Ive deleted all former mods and updates dealing with crossfire from comp.

Have uninstalled and reinstalled FL. I dont know what else to do to create a clean

slate..lol. A fresh start up for a fresh mod. All i await is the goahead. Yeaaaa! Well i

A

splash screen at the server sounds good, i think the corrupted 1.54s are coming from when a

player tries to overwrite 1.55 with the 1.54 mod. Im not sure, but i believe this is what

corrupts the 1.54 mod they try to use. That is why it it important to totaly delete the mod

from your mod manager...Re install 1. 53 and then reintall the 1.54 update.
