HI all, every time I enter the 3rd unknown system as part of mission 4 the waypoint defaults to the jumphole I just jumped through.
Is it a known bug with a solution or do I need to revert to a much older save to get around it?
Cheers

Cheers!
I'll dig up my mission 13 autosave then from the backup folder.
Hi, too braindead to search properly for this (one of those days), but if I use a completed vanilla Freelancer save, will the Crossfire plot missions still be triggered or do I need to go through the whole Freelancer campaign again to trigger it?
Cheers!
FL uses Dx8
however... look like you are playing the game on 16bit graphics
(check the options)
Cheers, but some of us are haven't touched FL for oh 7 years, so don't know our way around the options
btw, fairly awesome mod so far!
Wait - found it, wasn't present in the resolution options without flicking through them /deeeeerp
So, I have nice shiny AMD HD 6850, which works with vanilla Freelancer as long as the unoffical 1.4 patch is installed. Crossfire on the other hand? Well, even with advanced shaders turned off:

What I've tried so far -
1) added my card into the database
2) uninstalled and reinstalled with various graphics options turned off/on
3) uncheck the dithering option, just increases the size of the bands
What I haven't tried yet -
1) hunting down the vanilla nebula files and replacing CF's ones
2) Doing the above if possible with the shader and lighting enhancements.
What I think is probably the problem, is that the newer architecture of my GPU can't deal the older DX9 calls being made properly so I end up with the mess in picture. Though since I don;t know a thing about the how this particular game engine works, I'm kind of stumbling in the dark.
Oh yeah, there's similar, but far less noticable banding in vanilla Freelancer.

Solution: check resolution settings, problem due to resolution being set @16bit, so make sure to select a resolution with "32" in it.
The_Mess: this one is enough
... modify others can lead in MP to coflict with anti-cheat protection
Thanks
Hmmmn, gave it full 20 minute run around, definitely issues with shading and lighting, nebula in Kepler looked completely wrong and the universe map had too much glow, as did political area filters on the local map.
Might just have to boot up the old XP machine then lawl...
Added my card into the database as "0x6739 = "Radeon HD 6800" // added by TheMess" but no dice, as the shading still looks off
i.e. there's very clear graduations, instead of smooth colour shifts.
So is there any other files I need to alter?
Sweet, though it would have helped if that info was in the readme or the set up options details
