My "nnobness" has shown through...lmao I sure didnt do any search for similar subjects, my bad. Thanks for the replying anyway. I didnt think that I HAD to stay and fight, but I don't want to be the "noob" that leaves because I'm bored with endless pvp..lol And, I don't want to disappoint my C.O. for not jumping in there and staying till its over either. I dont want to be the "party pooper"..lol I don't know how possible it is to do, but maybe there could be an instant respawn to NY. Maybe like it does when you run out of cash? Thats probably way too hard to do...Or just adding an RP byline rule, like the tax rule, that once you engage one rat/cop, you can not engage again for an hr. or something..??? IDK, Just trying to help...Thanks again for the input..

Let me start by saying that even though I have been on the server for about a week now, it has been most fun.

I looked for a better place to post this subject and didn't know exactly where it should go, so here it is and if it needs to be moved I understand.

I was inducted into the CFPD a few days back. It has been a learning experience and I am still in the process of learning. But, I have a little concern of my own that is probably just my "noobness" coming out..lol
Ok, I really like the RP of the server as I can roll up on a freighter and post comms that he needs to stop and allow me to scan his hold for anything illegal, at which point we go back and forth with our little RP. Very fun, and rewarding how ever it turns out. But I have noticed that it seems like a lot of players like to hang out in X-3043 and just sit and wait on a rat or cop to pvp. I really dont mind to pvp. But, I was under the impression that "X" was a RP system..The only RP that I really have seen is when I enter the system and a rat says "Die cop" and from then on its fight, respawn, "go". fight respawn...ect. There really doesn't seem to be much in the way of RP. If I am being totaly wrong about this then please excuse me, I am still pretty new. I thought that the Arena was the "PVP all you want" system. There is no repercussions from your RP in X-3043. It is only over when one or the other is out of money, or has to leave...Not too fun of an RP experience for me. I really don't mind to pvp. But, I am called into action to go rid "X" of rats by my commanding officer, just to pvp till someone gets bored. I have a suggestion, if I may...Just as with any system, "X" should really be no different, if you engage in RP there should be RP all the way. So, for example, if I come across a smuggler...I say I want to scan his cargo hold. He says yes or no, it continues till the RP is finished and he goes his way and I go mine. End of RP..The same should go with rats, mercs, all..Example: I enter "X", rat says "Die Cop!!" we fight till he wins or I do..THEN whomever lost should have to leave the system for x amount of time or whomever died should not be able to use that toon for x amount of time...I think that would maximize RP and would stop the never ending pvp sitting in X-3043..I am suppose to be a police officer, if I have to spend my whole time in "X" defending against a never ending pvp battle, I can not perform my duties as a police officer "RP". Like patrolling systems for anyone in distress, finding smugglers, exploring new routs of patrol..and so on..

Please excuse me if I am not getting how X-3043 works..Or if I am missing something about how the RP works..Like I said I am still pretty new and am still learning. So, if anyone can enlighten me on this I would much appreciate it...

I really don't have a right to even post anything here as I am a
complete noob to CF. But I have been reading and I have been playing on
the server and I can see your predicament. I would like to think that I
might be around for a long time, and would HATE to see it all shut down
before I get started. Granted. I have only been playing less than a
week, and I really like it so far. I have yet get into the RP aspect
where I have been trying to explore and earn some cash. Then today I got
involved with a few players that drug me around by the hand and showed
me a few things. I was a bit overwhelmed, but I can see where the
benefits of the server can be for a new player like me. I will be
getting more involved in the RP in the future, just going to take it a
little slow, as there are more vet. players that will wipe the floor
with me. If I were experienced in CF I would do the same, so no blame
there.

My-2-cents: I had played on the server for about 4 days
and not once did anyone try and contact me as to ask if I needed any
help, or wanted to learn anything..etc.. I know that it was my fault for
not seeking out some help, which I eventually did, but I know, as a
noobie, if someone would have contacted me and asked me if I wanted to
learn the ropes I would have accepted. Its like going to a car
dealership, the salesmen don't wait in their office for you to go to
them, they come out to you..

Anyway,
GREAT work for all involved. Very enjoyable mod. Please don't let this
amazing mod go to waist because of some differences.
