well maby you right about the languages but in the russion versia it would be mostlikely only the half of the game as thous versias are all pirated anyway :\ and if you say that HL2 is taking plase sawere in easter-europe and ther are russian and ukraine wrightings on the wall it can be a possability that it all happens in Chernobil the same place stalker takes place (also ppl are russian ther but speak english if you talk to them O_o )

maby your ram cant handel all the procceses i had an issue with it and i had simmilar problems(the sudden restrting of pc ) and in the end it was just the thing that my ram fired and i had to reinstall my windows :\
