Um. Will these approaches to LR makes things go faster or slower?

Am I being paranoid or does the time it has taken already indicates an attitude of " i will do this when im good and ready".

I think we being put in our place by a person at LR who was annoyed by our first asking when the Mod would be posted.

I think the more we ask the slower this person will go.

OFFERING MONEY?

Giving money after someone has been helpful, as a way of saying thanks, is a lot different than giving money before to speed the process.

I will never give before, too much like bribery or blackmail.

I would have been happy to give after, but wont now, as I think someone at LR is being deliberately slow.

When the mod is finally posted on LR, and u have finished the download, a thank u and small donation to LR would be good.

And of course a donation to our own server to help pay the ongoing expenses would be good as well.

Nothing shows u really appreciate the fine work done by the modders and admins more than a contribution of hard cash.

When u put your hand in your pocket people know u are sincere.

Dont get too Hyped about these hyper weapons.

Op is very good at balancing all elements in ships and weps.

So these wont be "uber weps" that kill everything in there path. Dont expect the Rail Gun!!!

But he is very good at giving us new and interesting challenges. So my guess is the 'bragging rights' will be the main interest with the DKA's.

And it looks as if team work is going to be the only way to get them. Which is a v good thing imo.

Whatever the RP or name of the clan, new players want to join a clan that is visible.

Most times u log on there are IOC, UAC, LP and BG players flying around shooting at each other, chatting and trading.

Pll want to belong to a clan where they are part of a group thats involved in the community.

If the DC want more members the current members have to be visible 'in game' and active in any RP going on at the time.

There is a certain "Critical Mass", when a clan drops below it, things start to roll backwards.

The only real solution for DC is for the current members to make an effort to get more active and be around, every day, at GMT evening time.

Dragoness was a good recruiter. She would "meet and greet" lots of newbies. Escort them thru Custo, n show them around.

U have to give it time and effort if u want to build up your clan. There is no alternative.

The best i have ever achieved is a ping of about 300 and that is with the fastest DSL connection available in Australia.

Yep there is not much point adding ships that are not competitive with the Shroud.

If the agility, hull stength and wep slots are inferior to the existing elite ships then they wont get used by most people.

Its true that it does add a small bit of fun to swap ships around. However, as soon as ppl start loosing in pvp to the shrouds and saracens they will quickly change to them.

So OP I would not waste your time unless u are going to make any new ships truly competitive.

To all u ppl who only play in evening GMT let me tell u this Role Play gets really active in other time zones.

With only one guard on blockade the traders have a chance of getting thru and lots try to make the run.

To help the blockade i may decide to move the barrier from Dublin into SOL (wont tell u where). So it will be further to go on a respawn and harder to plan an attack with an escort.

In fact the barrier might be anywhere from Hyperion gate to earth docking ring. [9]

What Happened is:

Inferno rushed the gate and got thru before i killed him.

I chased him into Sol to kill him.

First he said u cant kill me cause i got past the blockade. My response was, yes i can u are a pirate and i can kill u anywhere, anytime. Its our Role Play and yours.

Then he said, 'well ive got a traders licence in this train so u cant kill me'. I said 'Licence dont matter in Role Play its the clan Role that is important not the licence'.

To stop bad feelings i gave up the chase and said 'post this on the forum and see what ppl think'.

The other stuff about VIP's shows Inferno has promise as a writer of fiction.

As far as im concerned its no big deal. Inferno didnt want to loose all those millions and i dont blame him.

To my knowledge u have not offended the BG clan.

If u want to pass thru our system u need to ask, thats all.

There are 8 ppl who can give permission and usually there is one on when u want passage thru.

Drakon has v good advice, if u follow it things will work out.

If you want to trade and Pirates are blocking your route u can always ask a Police clan (CFPD, DC, KRT) or Military (BG) for help.

We all (pirates, Police, Military) love a good fight.

Paying some people to defend you would only be a short term solution.

A better alternative would be to join a clan and learn how to fight and then defend yourself.

Oh, btw we all get killed by pirates when were trading in a freighter. So dont take it personal, its just the Role Play.

Well its good to know Junkers are pirates.

As far as im concerned as a clan u cant take more than one role.

I thought the licence is for freelancers not for clan players with clan tags.

If u are a clan player i thought u must have a clan tag.

And as a clan u have a declared RP. Which u just declared as Pirate.

So, i dont see how having different licences in diff chars will work for clan players.

Im not going to sit there and scan u before i open fire just to see what sort of licence u have !!

I have been ambushed by pirates too many times to fall for that one.

A lot of ppl get shot at by clan members for what they think is no reason. So before u go too far from New York read the server and clan rules.

Learn which are the clan systems and always ask a clan member first before u go into their system.

It will save u lots of grief. Unless, of course u like being shot at and chased around by a whole clan.

Above rank 50 u become a target for the local pirates who will try to tax u and then the real fun begins.

Everybody is welcome at the Server Events and they are great fun. They are also a good way to meet ppl.

If u have a Q just ask a clan person or the friendly Service Police.

I am feed up with people who use regen in fights.

Feed up with people who dont follow even basic pvp codes.

All this to get a cheap kill. GRRRRR

From now on I am going to do unto others as they do unto me.

At least 25% of my deaths are due to these type of people and i suspect that applies to lots of players like me who are just average fighters.

Its ok for top fighters. They can often recover from such underhand attacks but the advantage these people get from cheating are fatal to me.

So i cant get my own back unless i cheat too.

Not a very good alternative.

Anyway, I have had my whinge.

Please dont feel the need to post a reply, im just complaining.

But if u are feed up as well, then have a go, and get it off your chest, like me.

It wont change anything but it might make u feel better.
