Recently i had trouble with one of my accounts i couldn't log onto the server with it i was grateful when op was able to fix the account, but one char was unrecoverable my store char no there seems to be a pattern developing i had just placed some CSF licenses in the store the problem developed when i changed char and then i couldn't get back onto the server my clan m8 chasman has the same trouble he had just placed CSF licence's in his store and whammy same thing happened to him this was 3 weeks ago ish we assumed that it was his pc or his install of CF or FL. but after what happened to me another PiA member asked chasman for his MP account ID to test the account from a pc with a good working install and he had exactly the same symptoms that i did (see this thread for details) http://www.swat-portal.net/php…=5986&boardid=4&styleid=5

anyway my point is if u have a store char it seems there may be some kind of glitch with storing licence or it might be that if u have to many items in the store that causes this so be careful i lost hundreds of millions worth of equipments and my clan m8 may have to

its easier to set the filter to exclude servers with incompatible builds than searching the whole list if u have not been online yet

DC clan has been very good to PiA since its founding if dragoness or any other DC member needs our help they just need to ask

about the CSF leadership my thoughts are that each clan leader should rightly lead the CSF during fights when they are online and work as a team when more than one clan leader is online. At times organising one clan can be difficult even with a clear chain of command so integrating 4 separate clans into a cohesive fighting force will not be a walk in the park so using the existing command channels in each clan IE the clan leaders and XOs will make things run more smoothly

atm im in temporary command of the CSF as dragon left the post to me when he announced he was going to be away but if someone else is more suited to the task i will be grateful as i Want the CSF to succeed

taking command when your leaders are away can be a difficult time as both you and the clan have to readjust as i recently discovered myself but im sure you will do a great job of leading the DC, congratz[w00t]

i agree with chief the result is unclear because on the political map op made it shows a direct route to new Berlin from sigma 13 so technically new berlin is not behind the ASF lines so technically the result is valid

However that is pure sophistry and the result is obviously void as the jump hole doesn't work but i think the map needs rechecking to make sure there are no unusable routes that could misinterpreted

If you go to your start menu on windows then go to microsoft games--> Freelancer there is a sub menu called examine my account ID write the number down or print it and then keep it safe

PiA will rejoin the CSF and work with the other the other clans to make this RP work as well as system fights i will encourage PiA to enter the spirit of the role play and try to implement ops vision of server wide RP. As no one else has taken the place of CSF leader i will temporarily reassume this position until a permanent leader is decided upon.

The biggest issue atm i think is getting people back online to this end i think the best way to achieve this is to lead by example and be online ourselves i have in the last month or so neglected my online responsibilities as server police and clan leader so i will make a much greater effort to be active on the server myself as well

I just got a little fed up of seeing ppl falling out and it sometimes seems its one thing after another but i spent some time relaxing and away from games and i regained a sense of perspective and what u guys say is true most the ppl u meet are good people and i guess that we cant all get along all the time but i wish we can all learn from the recent past and have an understanding that the person at the receiving end of ur message, game chat, post etc is a PERSON and that we all have good days and bad days we get grumpy or tired or have RL problems and take that into account when we speak to others.

Although I am new to PC games I have been a gamer for many years and I have seen many changes since the early days of blocky smudged up graphics and beeps as sound FX the biggest change in recent years is the development of online multiplayer games many will argue that improvements in technology such as improvements in graphics etc but its not the changes online gaming have brought are far more profound its changed how we actually play the games and expanded the scope of playability and diversity.

I have played on X box live for nearly 18 months but I only recently bought a PC and only since then has the concept of an online game community been introduced to me and at first the effect was amazing I have met many people from all over the world with different cultures and ideas good people who are willing to the utmost to help other gamers or share a joke or even to debate politics or world events to discuss films, music or other interests and hobbies the internet is an amazing place.

But the real fact of the matter is for every good person or good deed there is as much bad I have witnessed people filled with spite and anger people who are totally prepared to insult others with or without the slightest provocation I have read about people stealing each others work or hacking each others computers I have spoken to people who have absolutely no respect for other people and are either oblivious or uncaring about the effects their words or actions have on others I have seen and been subject to betrayal, rudeness and bad manners also I have seen people who play games and are so consumed by the though of winning they use cheats or tricks to gain an advantage.

All in all I dismayed by this I have been a student of human nature all my live but still I am disappointed and at this time I am giving serious consideration over the next few days about continuing to play Freelancer or any other online game that has a community
