My father and I were trying to get a local CR server running so that he and I may play together, however when we tried it would close the game or come up with other various errors, to save the details, we couldn't get it to work, I was just wondering if this was a feature that is suposed to be implemented or it is a flaw of our software

Hello Sinspawn.
I'm not a server expert, but it sounds like what you're trying to setup is a LAN. And Crossfire will not run on a LAN. The best you can do is connect both your pc's to the global server so you can log on at the same time. That will just depend on how good your internet connection is. -
Yes thats what I am trying to do is start a LAN server so that he and I can play. We'd like to without connecting to the public internet server.

The Crossfire Mod - as it is published - doesnt include files to run any server (public or LAN). if u want to run a server u need the permission of Op. He just doesnt want any other server running than his...
