As a newbie I have a question. Is there a way to save games other than at a station or on a planet? I find myself exploring the many worlds of Crossfire and not able to dock. Since there are also many battles, I'd hate to start over at my last planet. Any help would be very appreciated.

if u play SP, then load "AUTO SAVE" and u get your ship at the last JH or JG u used...

Or if you play online, just go to a quiet corner of space and logoff there. It will save your last position so that when you come back you will be where you left.
Just don't save in areas where there are enemies around just in case and not in areas with radiation damage, unless you don't mind being fined 100k everytime you logoff...

but when you get killed online, you will start from your last planet/base
