well wouldnt ya know...theres something wrong with our computer. It restarts endlessly. After looking in the start-up options menu and selecting "Disable automatic restart on system failure" i got this message on a blue screen:

"A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer"

My dad was the last one on the computer last night, and he installed some PS tool called Easy Bevel 3D by Aurora GFX...the error message i got when i disabled the automatic restart suggested that the system was low on memory. It also suggested something about caching and snadowing, and something else along the lines of BIOS...

I have no frickkin clue whats wrong, but apparantly dad did something that screwed everything up (he was also the last person to use the PC before it started doing this last time).

    In short....HELP!!!

  • Well if you can get it up in safe mode turm off/deleate new program.

(\__/)(='.'=)(" )_(" ) This silly rabbit came to Texas, Started talking about World Domination, Got sliced and diced.

  • Couldn't reboot even in safe mode, so I used the HP system restore, which basically reinstalls Windows. That sucks because it wiped out all the profiles. For some reason, Crossfire is one of the few programs that didn't need to be reinstalled. Since SOT and I still had our Multiplayer ID's printed from the 1.7 upgrade, I just logged on, typed in the correct ID numbers, and VOILA! Back online!

Now the only problem is the fonts in the HUD and the base templates (equipment dealer, commodities dealer etc) are way too big. I don't see anything in the options to reset them and everything else works fine.

Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

  • Srry m8 but the only option to fix the screen prob when it's not fixeable with changing the resolution is to reinstall fl

btw the program you installed probably has a conflict with some other stuff you have on or needs more memory than that is in you're pc

    Hope that this helps
