Blue-Screened by a joystick

    Anone Know how a computer can get blue screened by moving the stick of a joystick slightly when the stick is about 28 inches from the computer?


    Iknocked it and my computer stutter so I went to move the joystick away from my computer but it stuttered and blue-screened.

    if it happened one and only one time, think of it as a "windows feature", if it happens often then:


    check the connection (usb prolly)


    check the joystick with another comp, and the comp with another joystick and locate which of them is causing trouble


    if joystick then change it for a new one, if comp then check usb drivers... if nothing is wrong with them then maybe the usb hub is damaged... a new usb pci card is not expensive...

    usb is designed for max 5 meters, dont use more cables after another this could cause problems

    You say check the USB plugs, but the odd thing was that the joystick was unplugged.

    so then maybe the magnetic field of earth interacted with the vibrational waves the jostick emited and your computer detected it... :P


    or maybe it is a coincidence...


    or maybe a wizard did...
