Cannot launch Freelancer after activation.

please make sure that u have either deleted or moved any saved games (including restart.fl from the saved games folder at ".../My Games/Freelancer/Accts/SinglePlayer/")

please check that u have followed any steps (and in that order) in the "Installation Instructions" from the CF Guide

please make sure to use Administrator rights for any installation step and check if the read only attributes r removed from any folder and file in the freelancer directory.

is there any more information that could help us identify ur problem?

does vanilla FL run? did u recently install any other mod? is there any error message on a crash? what OS do u use? ...

i suggest to try another clean install - following the steps in the guide to the letter and doing any step with running as admin...

You may need to run the installer in admin mode too? (Just a guess..?)

Have same problem here , reinstalled everything(freelancer,modmanager1.31,crossfiremod)5 times
still crash to desktop with no mesage a part from , freelancer has stopped working

im on vista home with all updates

tried to run everything in XP2 compat mode still nothing

geting tired of trying [3]

When I try to ''regsvr32 c:\program files\microsoft games\freelancer\exe\msinet.ocx'' I get the message: The module failed to load.

Please let me know what to do now? I've followed the instructions as they are writ, I run vista home with all updates done. Freelancer normal runs fine, only crossfire won't start after selecting single player, it just crashes with the typical vista message 'has stopped responding'

same answer as in the other thread with ur same request:

please check ur saved games folder: every file in there needs to be removed (including restart.fl).

anything related to Vista: i am out as i use XP.
