Hi all,
I'm just trying to get crossfire up and running on a friends machine but i have come across a curious and annoying problem:
When launching CF 1.7 from mod manager 1.31 the launcher screen res drops down to 640x480 so i cannot even see the "launch single / multiplayer" buttons, let alone select them!
Any ideas?
I have tried a clean reinstall and playing with perfoptions.ini and freelancer.ini with no luck 
The max res of this monitor is 1280x1024...
the crossfire launcher does not contain any code to set or change any screen resolutions. please try to start the launcher from windows explorer instead: ".../microsoft games/freelancer/exe/freelancer.exe" (or have a shortcut to this on ur desktop)
Tried that..... it still loads up the crossfire launcher screen at 640x480 and 16 bit colour......
The only way i can get the crossfire launcher to display correctly right now is to launch it directly from the crossfire mod folder in flmm.... but then of course the patching and actual game launch does not work..... but at least i can see and click on the launch multiplayer button

For some strange reason the exe had decided to run itself in compatibility mode!!
That explains the 640x480, 256 colour etc

nice - never underestimate the need of ur machine for ur personal attention (it will need u to hug it from time to time) or it will come up with errors u never dreamed of^^
