Changing SP (Starting and Playing) Ship, Rank, Money

  • This is basically from LR, but i added, removed and edited some stuff.


    In this tutorial, you have to have the Freelancer Simple Save Editor (found on LR or later here in SWAT Portal (I hope))


    NOTE: This tutorial (especially file paths) can be a bit inaccurate coz i don't have fl and the editor on this pc (not mine) atm and i'm writing from memory... Gonna fix it when I get back to my pc


    Now to start...


    1. Download and run the Freelancer Simple Save Editor (no install neccessary).
    3. Choose File -> Open
    2. Go to C:/my documents/my games/freelancer/accts/singleplayer/ (on win9x) or
    c:/documents and settings/*yourname*/my games/freelancer/accts/singleplayer/ (on win2k/xp) or
    c:/users/*yourname*/documents/my games/freelancer/accts/singleplayer (on winvista) and choose a save game.
    If you want to edit the SP starting stats, go to *your fl installation path*/exe/ and choose one of the savegames in there.


    Freelancer will open that savegame and display it in a notepad-like window, where you can edit that savegame.


    In the savegame you will find:
