I've been looking forward to trying this mod for a while, but I'm having some problems with the launcher and I'm hoping the knowledgeable people here can help.
When I first clicked the "Single Player" button, it asked it I wanted to update files, I said yes, and it downloaded somewhere around 40+ files. It then went immediately back to the launcher, without opening the game. I click on SP again, and it again asks to apply update, and it downloads 2 files, and then back to the launcher. Again, 2 files, and back. Etc etc etc. The progress bar fills up, says "Freelancer is running" for a fraction of a second, then says "Freelancer has closed."
I have already unchecked "READ ONLY" in all of the Freelancer folders. I also tried to do so in the Crossfire folder in FLMM.

I just rechecked everything, and for reasons beyond my understanding, the "read only" box keeps getting rechecked, even after dechecking and applying it. I am guessing this is the problem, but I'm not 100% certain, and I'm also at a loss of how to resolve it.
