While the Space Marine favour would be quite beneficial for such situation (more boarding power/resistance), Adeptus Mechanicus favour worked out well too, as it allowed to install additional skill (usually Battleship can mount only 4 skills) and one more upgrade.
The skill is Enhanced Induction Cells and upgrade is the Power Ram.
