Southampton-class capship: The smallest capital ship with true offensive capabilities, destroyers serve as a mainstay warship in the Terran Navy. These versatile and multi-purpose vessels can be found as part of larger battle groups or in destroyer squadrons or even alone, competent in both standup fights with other hard-hitting warships or attacking fighters. Very well shielded and armored for its size, they are capable of engaging in ship-to-ship combat with either its powerful energy weapons or its array of missile batteries. In addition, these fast and manoeuvrable warships can run down any capship in the Kilrathi arsenal.

The Yorktown light carrier , designed more than fifty years before the Kilrathi War, is still proudly serving in the Navy. Constantly modernized and refitted to keep up with modern times, they are invaluable support to larger Confederation carriers. Though well shielded, the light carrier wields only defensive laser turrets and a capship missile launcher, counting on her four squadrons of fighters for protection.
