    i had to go full nuclear factory reset option and purge all edited files and then use a different version of vanilla freelancer than i was using and then reinstall. But hey, it worked!

    the game is more than 20 years old ... I mean, under this circumstances, Crossfire is very active :D.

    but maybe meeting on the forums and then playing together is more productive.

    That you maybe have played when nobody is online (there are times with more activity) is imaginable. But that there is nobody on the discord is highly doubtful. There are always well over 100 ppl online.
