I use bats and bots in NPC battles and I'm a good pilot. When you're engaging ASF-CSF ships (which use codename weps) or Dom'Kavash, it is very likely that the NPCs will crush you unless you have some auxillary for restoring hull and especially shields. I also use them after PvP when it's quicker to make a quick hull fix than to land on the nearest base and make repairs. Bots and bats still play a crucial role in this mod, regardless of the fact that using them in PvP is frowned upon.

For me it was the part where you had just jumped into NY in the Badlands and get swarmed by Liberty fighters. You can't leave the battle or you fail the mission so you have to kill all the fighters. I never even got to see the sattelite because my ship couldn't preform well enough to win. If the anubis or dragon could mount stronger weps it wouldn't be a problem, but I really don't see how it's possible to take down those fighters' shields

They did dance around a lot ^^. It's the same problem as well the corsair legionarres. They dart around too much and recharge whenever you land a rare hit. I suppose I might be able to win, but it would be a three-hour battle or something. [rofl]

I have adapted my fighting technique to include such eratic behavior. It is very good for confusing noobs and NPCs' fire. The better pilots have grown familiar with the patters though and anticipate where the target will eventually go. For them the fights aren't difficult, just annoying The nastiest part about corsair ships and xeno starfliers though is that if you hit them once their shields pretty much go down, but then they use their bats before you can rip their hulls apart (Titans are worst…
