Yo. As the title says, when i press the multiplayer button the launcher says "Starting update". i wait and wait and... nothing happens. 20-30 mins no matter. after some time the launcher closes himself hes like screw you i cannot work im going home Would like to ask what could possibly be wrong. i have installed it on a fresh windows xp sp3 system with .net 4.0. Btw: Launcher log says nothing but "Starting update".

Restart already done. it only works when i open and close it for like 7-9 times. it seems the launcher is idling when certain conditions occur because it works fine on my main pc. sadly the log function doesn't say anything important because it basically says that it either starts or finishes but no error code whatsoever. update: fresh win7 installed, same result.

removed read only - Problem still exists

like i said since yesterday/today the laptop has a fresh (with fresh i mean fresh formatted disk) win7 system with .net 4.5 problem persists. i tried to switch to ethernet, same result. on pc it works fine but issue only appears on laptop... first i thought maybe the drivers have problems but i made sure i got the latest graphic driver & wlan adapter driver...

Yes. Starting directly from Install Folder doesn't make any change

Path is the exe folder which contains (as you know) the launcher and the launcherupdater and all that stuff. seems to be correct.

deactivated the firewall, no change

update (sry, double post): i have switched to the oldest laptop and it works fine there very old rig i can only play at lowest still, i would like to know why it doesn't work on the newer laptop. case closed for me.
