windows update is a dangerous thingy. i never let it do in its own. sp does the trick, and if i really need a specific patch, i get it myself.

well, ur case does seem intriguing, but if nobody did hack ur account (and it doubt somebody got urs multiplayer id by chance), i would suggest a reinstall of ur cf copy, since it may be the problem... but, still, i really doubt that too. only cf administrator would know any other info.
